Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2023: Apply for 21,391 Vacancies

The Bihar Police Department is inviting applications for the recruitment of 21,391 Constables. The online application process will start on June 20, 2023, and will end on July 20, 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

The candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria to apply for the Bihar Police Constable Recruitment 2023:

The Written Examination

The written examination will be conducted in two parts:

  • Part 1: Computer-based test (CBT)

  • Part 2: Descriptive test

The CBT will consist of 100 questions, each of which will carry one mark. The questions will be a mix of multiple-choice, true/false, and fill-in-the-blank types. The descriptive test will consist of two questions, each of which will carry 150 marks. The questions will be essay-type.

The Physical Standard Test (PST)

The PST will be conducted to test the physical fitness of the candidates. The PST will consist of the following tests:

  • Height: The minimum height for the candidates is 168 cm for men and 152 cm for women.

  • Weight: The minimum weight for the candidates is 50 kg for men and 45 kg for women.

  • Chest: The minimum chest expansion for the candidates is 5 cm for men and 4 cm for women.

  • Running: The candidates will have to run 100 meters in 15 seconds.

  • Jumping: The candidates will have to jump 3.6 meters for men and 3 meters for women.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

The PET will be conducted to test the physical efficiency of the candidates. The PET will consist of the following tests:

  • 800 meters running: The candidates will have to run 800 meters in 3 minutes 30 seconds.

  • Long jump: The candidates will have to jump 3.6 meters for men and 3 meters for women.

  • High jump: The candidates will have to jump 1.2 meters for men and 1 meter for women.

  • Pull-up: The candidates will have to do at least 10 pull-ups for men and 5 pull-ups for women.

Document Verification and Medical Examination

The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo document verification and medical examination. The document verification will be conducted and check the authenticity of the documents submitted by the candidates. A medical examination will be conducted to check the physical fitness of the candidates.
